If your family wants to slow down and enjoy the winter woods, this is a great spot. Over 40 km of groomed cross-country trails and 15 km of snowshoe paths wind through the ponderosa pines. Ski and snowshoe rentals are on-site. Friday nights are a steal — $5 gets you a trail pass and rentals from 4–7pm, plus there's a bonfire and a movie. They even have yurt and cabin lodging if you want to make a weekend of it.
